LINC Program

Malton Neighbourhood Services offers free English language instruction classes for newcomers to Canada. All classes are taught by qualified instructors according to a government-regulated curriculum and help develop your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. We have been offering LINC classes since 1992.

• Improve English pronunciation through conversation circles
• Eligible students may receive free child care and bus tickets for Mississauga/Brampton Or TTC
• Learn in a fun-filled class about other cultures, make new friends and find support
• Prepare for the Canadian Citizenship test, TOFEL and IELTS

• Eligibility for LINC must be a landed immigrant or convention refugees (documents needed)
• Must bring a completed Assessment Test (CLB Assessment Test)
• Child care for children ages 19 months to 12 years old (depending on availability)

Documents needed for language assessment appointment:

• Permanent Resident Card (PR Card) or Landed papers and Passport
• Child care will be provided.
